I've been watching this series now and again (on the second season right now).

K-ON is about five girls that start a band as a school club.

It's definitely one of those slice-of-life anime that has its funny moments, like Azumanga Daioh, but just like Azumanga Daioh it doesn't really seem to have much of an overall plot.

The music is really good and the character style is chock-full-o-moe. I really like the special attention to detail given to the illustration of the instruments. Having played keyboard in a band, it's something I can appreciate.

Still, I keep watching just begging for something to happen! Plot, you're late! Come back! cheesey grin

You'll be waiting forever :/

But, this is a good series. Maybe not the most exciting series but it's lite fare, enjoyable. Also check out K-ON abridged if it's still up anywhere (YouTube took it down pissed off) Basically it doesn't suck. Lucky Star was the same exact kind of series but without the cool music aspect (other than a kick-ass intro theme). I BUY SAUSAGE! Anyways. cheesey grin

Lucky star almost had a plot. Well, at least it had a little bit of a back story for Konata.

K-ON literally goes absolutely no where. Also, I, too, do tend to purchase spiced pork products cased in intestines.

Mmmmm.... intestines. yum

That's a tough question to answer.

K-ON is not yet licensed in the U.S.; I've just been watching clips of it on YouTube (which I honestly do not know if they are supposed to be posted there legit or not). I intend to purchase the DVD box set when it becomes available, not only to ensure that the animation studio receives compensation for their hard work but also to have complete, high quality copies for watching. It's sort of a try-before-you-buy type of thing and I can't condone watching full, illegitimate copies that someone has recorded and posted online. If you do, however, watch it online before it's licensed, please be sure to buy the DVDs when they become available in your region.

Crunchyroll does carry some anime but I don't think K-ON is on their list, yet. They only carry series that they have reach agreements with the animation studios / producers / etc. to carry, like Hulu does.

I *think* most of the YouTube clips were posted as previews by a television station but I can't be sure. You never know with YouTube clips.
