Hey Nitro,

I found this a couple of months ago and thought I'd pass it along. User Link

Normally I hate tools that dumb down the programming experience (wait.. I just realised typing this that I spend a lot of time in Visual Studio... that DEFINATELY dumbs down the experience...) but this seems quite cool and being web based, wouldn't need us to install anything...

I could live with writing my first Android app in something like this smiley

Oh, yeah! Actually, I found out about this a while back, bookmarked it, planned to fill out the form to use it but then never did.

Can't wait to try it out... I've been getting some ideas for little apps that could be useful on my phone. Sending my location to the site's server and doing location-based rant columns through an app might be fun. Actually, just updating the rant column easily through a Twitter-style app would be useful. Being able to draw quick sketches with the touch screen and upload them might lead to hours of amusement, too.

Thanks for the link, though; this is definitely something I want to play with! bounce

Update - I just filled out the form for it. b33rcheesey grin

Kind of makes me want to get an Android phone now.

Still have my iPhone but the contract has been up for a long time. Time for a new one, maybe? App Inventor sounds tantalizing and everybody I've talked to who has one of those phones can't stop telling me about how great it is.

Being a little ticked over the recent iPhone 4 fiasco, maybe I'll opt for the Incredible. What do you guys think huh???

I was just locked into a monthlong debate on my facebook as to whether to go with the HTC Incredible or the Motorola Droid X - after much careful consideration, the X seems to be the superior phone in almost every category.

Well, in my wait for it to come off of backorder, the Motorola Droid 2 has now been released. So, although I thought my decision had been made, I now have to debate whether or not to stick with the X and wait or to get the droid 2.

The X has a much bigger screen, 8 megapixel camera that records in HD and has an HDMI out, and is fully touchscreen, or
The 2 which is smaller and has a 5 megapixel camera that records in DVD, but has a pull out qwerty keyboard.

Oh, decisions.
I am beginning to grow skeptical of cynicism.

Hmmmm.

The Droid X sounds really nice. I went and looked it up - not bad, not bad at all.

I'd have to spring for the larger screen. That would make it not only easier to read but easier to use the touch screen, too. Also, the HDMI would be nice if I want to show the folks something presentation-style on their flat panel instead of shoving the phone in their face, lol.

After almost three years with the iPhone, typing on the touch screen doesn't bother me. A keyboard is nice but a larger screen is nicer, IMO.

Yeah, might be looking into the X. Pretty nice. We'll see.
