That's pretty crazy with the event being deleted like that.

Do you think whatever rattled your neighborhood was local and the USGS record was just a coincidence?

No idea. No one's talking about it anymore. After a few days, it hasn't really come up at all. No explanations, not really any speculation, either. Guess it's a dead issue here.

The silence about it is kind of interesting in its own way. Who knows. Guess it's possible it really was a glitch and whatever shook your town was something else entirely.

Ostensibly, there are some more anomalous small-scale earthquakes happening in other parts of North America. If our resident geologist would like to chime in, feel free to do so. wink
