I purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator X recently, along with a Logitec joystick.
This flight simulator is pretty good. The graphics aren't quite as good as they could be but the simulation and controls are very immersive and realistic.
When using a USB headset, the engine and cockpit noise are heard through the speakers while the air traffic control radio is heard through the headset! I thought that was a great little detail they put in there.
So far, I've flown everything from ultralights to 747's in there.
So cool.

Flight sims are fun.
My uncle's crazy addicted to them. He has an actual pilots' license but he likes being able to "fly" without having to worry about fuel!

MS Flight simulator is ok. Personally I prefer FlightGear - it has way more features.
there's some free ones too if you look around.

Eh, Flightgear... I had a lot of problems getting that installed.

One thing about MS Flight Simulator X... you need a LOT of hard drive space!
