In the interest of increasing image quality for the web comics, I've debated changing from JPEG to PNG format.
The drawback of PNG is that the file size will be significantly larger. I'm not so sure that's going to work very well for anyone still on dial-up or a slow connection.

PNG is definitely a superior image format although I get the concerns about bandwidth.

I say if it helps the image quality and I have to wait a little longer (but not all day), go for it. I wouldn't want anything that's impossible to load, having said that.
Just how much bigger file size / longer download is it? C:>print_out_million_dollar_bill.exe 'print_out_million_dollar_bill.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external revenue service, operable profit, or bank file. |

PNG would effectively increase the file size of the web comics by about 5x per image, roughly. 73's, KD8FUD
