I make rockets out of empty two-liter bottles myself. They also make really good improvised squirtguns.

Just don't mix volatile ingredients inside a capped bottle. There was a video on a site a while back (was it ebaumsworld?) of some guy getting his hand blown off from shaking a bottle full of a volatile mixture. Not pretty. The same mixture you'd use for one of those cheesy "volcanoes" everybody's made at least once in grade school. Vinegar and Baking Soda. (Bacon Soda!). Mix those in anything enclosed and the gas released is enough to seriously injure you Waff-O!
