I just discovered that the paid version of the Android app "gReader Pro" has a text-to-speech feature (as well as a podcast feature) and it sounds a lot better than the TTS I installed on the server.
Also, I'm making this post so that the post count for the Announcements category is no longer 666.

Android TTS is not bad at all. Siri's good on the iPhone too. Smartphones tend to have cutting-edge TTS, out of necessity (makes GPS much safer if you can understand what it's saying and not have to keep looking at the screen for directions).
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. -- Carl Sagan

I listened to it and it was funny. A lot of it is hard to understand and it reads it way too fast so the words all kind of run together.
