New article in News (Regular musings and updates): New 3D Renderings

Google Sketchup is one of my favorite tools for creating architectural models like houses and buildings. It's great for rapid prototyping, but it does not do renderings unless one upgrades to the "pro" version. Well, that was until I discovered Kerkythea and the Plugins for Sketchup that allows importing / exporting materials to and from Kerkythea.

I also rendered the newest Hovercrane Concept, which I had modeled in Blender about a year ago but wasn't satisfied with the way it was rendering in Blender. Kerkythea rendered it quite well.

All the above software I just mentioned is free, by the way, at the time of writing this article.

2214 updates will resume once I have my brushes set back up in Photoshop - yes, I still have things to fix...
