My freelancing projects have my schedule well-booked for the next couple of weeks. This is a great thing. I have time open to work on 2214 and Proper Barn this weekend, however.
My primary monitor's backlight control circuit went bad a few days ago so I had to replace the monitor. It was an Acer AL1914 and had been showing flickering and signs of imminent failure for more than a year. It's too bad that it only lasted about three years. The new monitor is an LG flatron W2043T (a widescreen, unfortunately) which will work fine as a secondary monitor but I prefer 4:3 aspect ratio due to the fact that my Wacom tablet is 4:3.
Widescreen is being shoved down consumers' throats, I'd say...
My primary monitor is now the LG L1933TR, which is more conducive to drawing in Photoshop due to being a 4:3 aspect ratio. I also switched both monitors to a DVI connection. The difference in image quality is pretty substantial compared to a VGA connection, which surprised me even though the signal is far more dire...
