Wendelstein W7-X Stellarator: Twisted Donut of Nuclear Fusion

On a funnier note, the name "Wendelstein" is also amusing. The first part, the word "wendeln", meaning "to curl" or "to spiral" (Wendeltreppe = spiral stairs). That seems quite appropriate given the shape of the reactor. The second part to me evokes Frankenstein, of course. Wendelstein's Monster!
