Yes, at some point it will probably get color and shading.
As for the eyes, the lack of pupils is part laziness, part for the hell of it.

The hands could probably stand some adjustment, at least with this pose. Worth noting: having reference images for drawing hands is useful. |

Indeed it is. I have some anatomy books with pages devoted to drawing hands.
Additionally, you have two reference models at the end of your arms, although they are typically occupied with the process of drawing when you need to look at them. 73's, KD8FUD
