If you look up TV signal hijackings on YouTube, most of them turn out to be hoaxes. Still cool, but not actual TV hijackings.

I believe in some areas there are still some pirate analog TV transmissions. It's definitely not legal but technically easy to do. But who has an old analog TV anymore? |

I've actually heard about this incident years back, its still as baffling to me as back then. What I still do wonder is how much of special knowledge was necessary to pull this off back in the day, and what kind of equipment was necessary to pull it off, and how readily that was available then. Beyond that, I suppose we'll never really know who was actually behind this. |
