I got an Android phone earlier this year. It's an HTC Droid Eris.
So far it's been great. The screen is a bit small but it has LOTS of features including built-in GPS.

I have an HTC Evo, which I'm assuming is similar to your Eris.
How do you like the interface? "Dangerous toys are fun, but you could get hurt!" |

The interface is nice. It does get a little slow sometimes and I have to kill tasks on it.
I think the phone may be a little under-powered for all the software it tries to run. 73's, KD8FUD |

You'll get that with entry-level smartphones. I was thinking of upgrading to the Motorola Droid.
You do need to be careful not to run too much junk on it at one time. "Dangerous toys are fun, but you could get hurt!" |
