This is one of the most fascinating new electronic musical instruments I've seen in a while.

It's a flat device with a matrix of buttons on the front. It's played by activating sequences and combinations of the switches to produce all sorts of interesting melodies and harmonies. I've never heard anything quite like it before.

It works by using a repetitive loop that you create and modify on each cycle.

It's funny to see how musical instruments are starting to evolve.

That's so cool! It makes really pretty tones.

I guess it could be used for dubstep / trance / techno stuff but I like what they were doing in that demo.

It does have drum sounds too apparently.

Nothing beats a good old MIDI keyboard for composing music and experimenting but it might be fun to mess with one of those things, if nothing more than to help develop some ideas and inspiration.
