Jimson8, the Star Wars prequels weren't really that bad, were they?
Ok, maybe Jar-Jar but everybody already knows that.

I liked BTTF II the best but if you watch it nowadays it's funny how many things about the future they go wrong and we're like less than 5 years away from that. That's not a knife.. THAT's a knife. |

You have to admit that the Hovercrane IS kind of... let's say, really, really STRONGLY inspired by that Delorean. Maybe "rip-off" isn't the right word, but there's a pretty big resemblance. You have to admit!
Now, about the movies, yes, of course they are a lot of fun to watch. It's a good sci-fi. Waff-O!

Miroku, not to be Picky McNitPickerson, but the BTTF movies were actually intended to be comedies. True science fiction focuses more heavily on the technology and theories involved. BTTF has a good sci-fi element to it but it's more of a comedy-adventure, if you'd be classifying it by genre in a video store (video stores... man, THOSE you don't find anymore).
Nitpicks aside, it's as much a sci-fi as a comedy-adventure, but the writers did bill it as comedy. "Dangerous toys are fun, but you could get hurt!" |
