I don't think we should have anyone "running" the role play either. It has not worked out too well so far and I'd really hate to see this RP die so early. This "we have to stop and wait for the DM to catch up before we continue" is hurting things, I'm sorry to say.
At a bare minimum, we plan things ahead of time instead of having to slam on the brakes when things get really active.
Just my two cents guys!

Just wanted to chime in here.
Hopefully I'm not overstepping my bounds but I just want to suggest that everybody take a few days to cool down, tensions are a little high from what I've seen and it would really suck to have people at each others' throats over a little role play story.
Creative differences have broken up many of my favorite bands. Please don't let them kill your cool story in the making.

To be honest, this game doesn't need someone as a GM controlling all the NPCs (or introducing them, etc.) It's been motoring along just fine.
So, sorry for being a bit of an ass earlier. One shouldn't post when annoyed or whatever else. But yeah, while I was originally nominated to "run" things, I don't need to, nor am I really able to. So yeah, we carry on as-is. (The mention of writing out people who are less active was more worrisome than any need of a "GM" anyway.)
So...to sum it up, what we need, if we need anything, is this:

Not even all the time. Just collaborate a bit in chat or elsewhere when you think it'll help stuff go smoother.
I'll continue tossing out my own silly ideas, and encourage everyone else to do the same. GM or not, one of the best ways to build further story is by player speculation. Someone's going to say "what if this is what's going on..." and lay out some theory that's really cool.

I'm happy to see everything seems to be okay now.
Regarding planning, my end of things has Jess meeting Shell, Duncan, Renk, and Atlas on their way to find a street doctor or a black market cyborg repair shop. Where they meet exactly we might want to discuss here.
Should they meet at the bar? Should they meet on the street near the ruins of EMA headquarters? What if Jess notices Shell from EMA's security data (which Dark Spider probably gave her) and runs up to her in the bar when she recognizes her?

Sounds good Helena. I think we'll end up at the bar in Chapter 2. If you have Jess there, that's probably going to work.
On a side note, I don't think there was talk about writing anyone out of the story, but that's neither here nor there at this point.
Are there any other loose ends we should tie up before getting into the next chapter?
