Another crazy idea happened.
Now, if you want something podcast-like to hear while commuting (and you don't have anything better to which you want to listen), you can listen to an automated text-to-speech recording of the main forums RSS feed!
It's updated every morning. Here it is: user link on forums.nitrocosm.com
I'll try to find a better voice to use for it.

That's sort of a novel idea. The voice is hard to understand a lot of the time. It's a shame there aren't better free TTS voices out there, assuming you're running Linux. There were some nice ones by AT&T / Bell Labs but they cost a fortune to license.

The text-to-speech is hard to make out most of the time plus things run together. It's also reading all of the code and links.
It might be funny if people did "dramatic readings" of posts.

That might be fun as sort of a novelty here and there. I don't think it could be a regular thing due to the sheer volume of posts to read.
