Danganronpa Series

I love the Danganronpa series. It's a murder-mystery visual novel series turned third-person-shooter in the latest release "Ultra Despair Girls". I can't say much about it without major spoilers but it's a little like Umineko no Naku Koro ni - there's always a character per arc to get the axe (sometimes literally)!

Ultra Despair Girls takes a lot of cues from the "No More Heroes" franchise in terms of style and game play mechanics overall.

...They somehow made it into a third-person shooter? That has got to have turned out interesting.

Also, hot pink blood to avoid censors. That is all.

Hot pink blood looks a lot cooler, too.

Danganronpa is a visual novel by Spike Chunsoft. The monokumas are really kind of nasty looking. That and there's an absolute ton of them.

There's actually two more games after Ultra Despair Girls, there's one for the iPhone / iPad and then a PS4 game that's in production right now. I'm not sure when it's going to get a U.S. release, if ever, though.
