I'd figured it was implied that the group was going to pretend to be the backup band, yeah, due to the fact that Duncan was asking everyone if they played instruments.
Anyway, got a general sense of where things are headed so I hope Renk's actions are in line with figuring out where Jess's dad actually is. I left it open-ended / the guard could have been lying about everything.

Wow, this story is getting really crazy.
I hadn't read it in a while but just got caught up tonight. There's a few fits and starts but hats off to you guys. This is seriously one hell of a page-turner.
