Gundam Wing.
Surprisingly, maybe, I don't care for the other Gundam series. Gundam Wing is my favorite though.

Odd, Gundam Wing wasn't bad but I thought Gundam Seed had a much better story and better character arcs.
To each their own, huh? It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. There's clearly enough room for more wine. |

Any given Gundam series is decent if you get into the complicated political aspects of the series.
Personally, although I do like most of the Gundam series, the geopolitics of the setting always caused me to kind of gloss over and that, as a result, made me unable to pick up on some of the finer nuances of the plot.
Gundam is what I'd classify as "heavy" anime, the kind that you have to put a lot of effort into following properly. It ain't fluff. "Dangerous toys are fun, but you could get hurt!" |

Tell you the truth, I haven't been following anime at all for a long time.
Picking a #1 favorite is tough. I like the Dot Hack series and Sword Art Online.
Anything where the story is split between cyberspace and a "real world" setting is fun, IMO. |
