Geez. Didn't Volkswagen get caught doing this (or something very similar) some years back? It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. There's clearly enough room for more wine. |

Yep! They actually wrote code in the ECU to detect when it was undergoing a test. The code made the car perform differently, lowering its emissions during the test compared to normal operation. They got in big trouble.
