That's pretty crazy with the event being deleted like that.
Do you think whatever rattled your neighborhood was local and the USGS record was just a coincidence? "Dangerous toys are fun, but you could get hurt!" |

No idea. No one's talking about it anymore. After a few days, it hasn't really come up at all. No explanations, not really any speculation, either. Guess it's a dead issue here.
