Vega mentioned long ago that we should have character theme music posts. Well, I haven't decided Duncan's character theme music yet but I have the perfect theme for some flashbacks into Duncan's past.
Hey, listen to this while looking at that photo, Miroku.
He used to...drink entire boxes of doughnuts? Did he just shove them in a blender with the coffee?
Also, sorry about dragging my feet on a post, but I'm at a loss for what to add to things, and am a bit busy working on things for a committee meeting.
I do invite yet more brainstorming, though. Just what IS our mysterious sphere? Best bit of wild speculation will likely be the canon, so time to go nuts on that.
I'm also not sure how thoroughly to abuse General Mulhauser, but he keeps coming back to gloat, which means he's either REALLY secure in his position, or he's begging for trouble. Elise is going to at least rough him up until he spills the beans on his precious toy. We could also threaten to or actively try to break it, or the control consoles (though I'd try to just switch it off, first), see if that gets a good response.
I guess the bottom line is, should the general escape, or should we take him with us? How intact he is is somewhat secondary to those two big options.
I meant to say "Duncan used to drink buckets of coffee and eat entire boxes of donuts" but the idea of him drinking them is way funnier, so let's go with that.
As for General Blowhard, I figured Elise would like to have some fun with him. As for the sphere, if there was a cannon, I'd long since forgotten about it. I think it's going to be something weirder than a cannon.
If Elise wants to capture or kill Mulhauser, now's her chance. Duncan is going to attempt to destroy that sphere and would kind of like it if someone would set things up to where the sphere would land on the General. It's just a suggestion. I have no idea if we'd actually want to kill him but he might be more useful if we captured him.
To be honest, I just want the chance to deliver the line, "GETTTT DUNKED ON".
Of course, for plot reasons, that sphere probably shouldn't actually be destroyed as much as... um, dunked.
