The Northern lights are cool. Too much city light where I live to see them but getting out in the countryside and sometimes, if lucky, they show up.

It was odd. My friend was going on and on the other day about how much it messed up radio communications recently. Apparently it made several ham bands unusable for about a week. Crazy.

And this was during solar minimum.

Speaking of weird natural phenomenon, my whole neighborhood just shook like all hell! I don't know yet what's going on but everybody's freaking out right now.

We've had a lot of bad natural disasters in the world recently, haven't we?

EDIT: I heard that it was a big explosion of some kind about 22.14 (!) miles SSW of here! surprised
